Jamison Ross & UNO All StarsJamison Ross is a GRAMMY-winning R&B and soul artist, vocalist, songwriter, producer, and educator whose sound blends R&B, gospel, and blues with contemporary soul. A native of Jacksonville, Florida, he earns a Master of Music from the University of New Orleans and now serves as the Alvin , "rdquo" -> Red" Tyler Endowed Professor of Music at the University of New Orleans, where he mentors emerging musicians, helps students develop their artistic voices, and prepares them for sustainable careers in music, continuing the legacy of the late Ellis Marsalis. Ross released his debut album, Jamison, in 2015, earning a GRAMMY nomination, and co-founds the soul-focused record label Affective Music in 2019. In 2023, he won a GRAMMY with Snarky Puppy for Empire Central. Drawing inspiration from soul legends like Marvin Gaye, Rance Allen, and Al Green, Ross continues to shape a distinctive sound for a new generation. Tonight, Ross plays alongside some of his most esteemed students.
