About this event
Singer, songwriter, poet, painter, author, and photographer Patti Smith emerged in the 1970s punk rock scene. Her intellectual and angry lyrics, along with her energetic performances, helped redefine the role of women in rock and shape the direction of the punk genre. Smith is known for fusing rock and poetry, and her music is characterized by its poetic lyricism and rock & roll energy.
