Terms of Service & Community Guidelines

Eloo is a social app for discovering real-world events and the people going to them. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our community guidelines below.

The basics

You must be 18 or older to use Eloo. You are responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of your content, but you give Eloo permission to display it inside the app and on shared event pages. Don't use Eloo for anything illegal.

Community guidelines

Eloo exists so people can go out — including alone — and feel safe doing it. So: no harassment, bullying, hate speech or threats. No sexual content. No spam or scams. No sharing anyone's personal information or whereabouts without their consent. No using RSVP lists or chats to follow, pressure or intimidate anyone. Treat event chats like the venue itself: strangers are welcome, creeps are not.

Safety features

You can RSVP privately (hidden from the public attendee list), report any post, comment or chat message, and block any user — blocking makes you invisible to each other everywhere in the app. Event chats close automatically 48 hours after an event starts. Eloo never shows your precise location — only venue names.

Moderation

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. We review every report within 24 hours and remove content or suspend accounts that break these guidelines, at our discretion and without notice. You can also block any user immediately, without waiting for us. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, email us.

Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → settings → Account security, or by emailing elooapphq@gmail.com. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Liability

Eloo lists events and helps people coordinate; we don't run the events. Ticket purchases happen on third-party sites. Meeting people from the internet carries the same care you'd take anywhere: meet in public, tell a friend, trust your instincts.

Changes

We may update these terms as Eloo grows. We will change the date above, and for significant changes we will let you know in the app. Continuing to use Eloo after a change means you accept the updated terms.
